He later became a Taxi Driver shuttling between Accra and Aflao. As an industrious person, Sammy became a businessman who dealt in the sale of used vehicles and car spare parts at Darkuman Kokompe, and was a member of the Greater Accra Spare Parts Dealers’ Association. Until his demise, he was a member of the Central Mechanics and Spare Parts Dealers’ Association. On 31st December 1971 Sammy got baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Sometime in 1973, Sammy met and got married to Madam Comfort Abena Yeboah. He was blessed with 6 Children (Jemimah, Constance, Sammy Jnr, Phinehas, Deborah and Portia) and had 14 grandchildren. Sammy was a zealous servant of Jehovah and had many privileges of service.

He served as a Pioneer, Congregation Elder, Convention Committee Member, Assembly Overseer Assistant and was one of the Elders in Kasoa Road East Congregation until his demise. Sammy always gave his family the best and even extended his selfless Love to everyone, irrespective of your age, social or racial background. Sammy has been ill over the past couple of years and on the morning of Sunday, 9th July 2023 he passed on.

His death has created a vacuum in the lives of his family and friends, however Sammy was hopeful in the promise that very soon our dear loved ones in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out as recorded at John 5:28,29. Due to that, we are also hopeful to meet with Sammy again in the new world that is soon to come!
